Mildred's way to compare objects is almost great, but... when somebody uses overloading (i.e.
__get in PHP5), function _may_ even crash, like this:
<?php
class someclass
{
public function __get($varname)
{
throw new exception('No way!');
}
}
$ref1 = new someclass;
$ref2 = &$ref1;
var_dump(is_ref($ref1, $ref2));
?>
causes beautiful uncaught exception...
so, be aware!
