An easier alternative to the built-in XML-RPC function is available at:
http://phpxmlrpc.sourceforge.net/
PHP XML-RPC is written purely in PHP, so there is no need to recompile to use the experiment XML-RPC
extension. PHP XML-RPC is also definitely easier to use, especially if you are creating a server.
