Hello there,
I encounter a very strange performance behavior with using mssql server 2005 as localhost.
I am using Apache2.2.4 (Win32) with PHP/5.2.3 on WinXP machine. Connecting to mssql at localhost
using odbc. Driver={SQL Server}.
The performace for queries is very poor. But when I run Microsoft SQL Management studio, open New
Query, selecting the desired database, then the speed boosts up! When I close the Query, performance
goes down as before.
Does anyone knows why? How can I configure the server, or the connection, to such excelent
performance as it is when the studio is opened?
The performance is same when using odbc_connect or odbc_pconnect.
