This is just what Iâve been searching for, though strtolower() wonât accept arrays.
Youâll have to do something like this:

function array_tolower($array) {
foreach ($array as &$value) {
$value = strtolower($value);
}
return $array;
}
$array_var = array("Cheery", "zap", "Banana", "apple",
"Zing");
array_multisort(array_tolower($array_var), SORT_ASC, SORT_STRING, $array_var);
