I tried to find some information on the web and checked my php.ini. Unfortunately I haven't
found anything.
Why don't you use the mail command itself?
The Documentation says "This message type uses the same internal function as mail() does."
In my opinion I would code my own function. Since you provide its contents there seems no difference
to me whether you use error_log() with $message_type = 1 or mail() and provide your own subject.
Hope it helps
Roland
