note 77629 rejected from function.ereg by nlopess

Note Submitter: albert_einistein at yahoo dot com ---- Hi, I am new in PHP coding and i have a problem with the ereg() function result, i want to find links in some HTML codes, i put function like code below: ereg("<a.*.</a>",$contentField,$linkres) but output of $linkres[0] is a HTML text that starts with first '<a' and finishes with the last '</a>' of page. my problem is about finding the best pattern for this to work, please help me, i don't know the parts if this site so if i must ask it in another place please tell me. thanks AHHP
