gmmktime() should ONLY be used to create a timestamp when specifying a specific GMT date and time. If you want to make a valid time stamp for the current date & time, use mktime() instead. UNIX timestamps, by definition, store the GMT time relative to the UNIX epoch. gmmktime() (without any parameters specified) will effectively use the computer's LOCAL time values just the same as if they were explicit parameters, and the resulting time stamp will be incorrect. (The resulting timestamp will actually be offset in the OPPOSITE direction of the local timezone offset from GMT!) ---- Server IP: 216.235.15.211 Probable Submitter: 216.171.104.98 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.gmmktime.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/77641 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77641/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77641/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77641/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77641/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77641/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77641/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77641 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/77641 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
