Amen to what "atw" said. It's really amazing how off-topic many notes on this page are. It is specifically about ENDcontrol structures. Of the twelve notes below, only one even mentions the word END. Perhaps only three or four are directly on-topic! I use the alternative syntax exclusively, where I can. I'd like to use ENDcontrol structures for Function and Class as well, and have requested (via bug report) that they be added to PHP. Others of like mind are encouraged to do likewise at http://bugs.php.net/ . The community seems to be split over use of ENDcontrol structures vs }. Is this simply a point of religion or are there truly problems with the alternative syntax? ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.197 Probable Submitter: 71.56.163.173 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/control-structures.alternative-syntax.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/77873 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77873/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77873/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77873/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77873/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77873/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77873/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/77873 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/77873 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
