I find the syntax for paths hard to understand when using windows. When I look at phpinfo() results
then I get following information regarding FILESYSTEM paths:
- Loaded Configuration File C:\wamp\Apache2\bin\php.ini
- error_log c:/wamp/logs/php_error.log
- extension_dir c:/wamp/php/ext/
- include_path .;c:\wamp\php\pear
- upload_tmp_dir c:/wamp/tmp
- doc_root C:/wamp/www
In php.ini there's the same mess regarding filesystem path syntax.
I understand that URL's are encoded always with "/". But when formatting a path
related to the filesystem then the syntax should be standardized, e.g. everywhere slash or
everywhere backslash. Where is the info for each directive related to filesystem paths mentioning
Windows users: now use slash or now use backslash?
