Great, while using MySQL5, the only way to get the number of rows after doing a PDO SELECT query is to either execute a separate SELECT COUNT(*) query (or to do count($stmt->fetchAll()), which seems like a ridiculous waste of overhead and programming time. Another gripe I have about PDO is its inability to get the value of output parameters from stored procedures in some DBMSs, such as SQL Server. I'm not so sure I'm diggin' PDO yet. ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.197 Probable Submitter: 75.80.167.106 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.PDOStatement-rowCount.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/78338 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78338/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78338/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78338/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78338/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78338/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78338/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78338 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/78338 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
