<?php // open in read-only mode $db = dbase_open('/tmp/test.dbf', 0); if ($db) { $record_numbers = dbase_numrecords($db); for ($i = 1; $i <= $record_numbers; $i++) { // do something here, for each record } } ?> Trying to get number of records in 1 of my "MySQL" tables. My database has 3 tables in it. How does it know which table to count records in. Spent an hour and a half looking through Google links to dbase_numrecords, every place I go has a mirror image of the same example, but does not specify which table. I understand, $db is the string that holds the name of the database. Or should it be the name of the table in the database. ---- Server IP: 203.220.0.234 Probable Submitter: 59.167.115.53 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.dbase-numrecords.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/78852 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78852/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78852/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78852/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78852/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78852/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78852/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/78852 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/78852 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
