when i run the following code on my host, i get: "undefined function"

$url = 'http://www.google.com';
print_r(get_headers($url));
print_r(get_headers($url, 1));
?>
output:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_headers() in
/homepages/36/d176208770/htdocs/wordpress/headers.php on line 4"
any ideas?
