If you're wanting to strip a variety of timestamps, try this:

$var = "[09:21:32] Testing";
$var = preg_replace('/\W*\d+:\d+(?::\d+)?[a-zA-Z]*[\W\s]*/', '', $var);
echo $var;
?>
