If you want to include a file that has no PHP in it (such as a template), it is more efficient to
use file_get_contents().
Instead of:
include "file.htm";
use:
echo file_get_contents("file.htm");
In a rough millisecond test using gettimeofday(), it proved to be about twice as fast.
