Those wishing to use the code suggested by legolas558 d0t users dot sf dot net should consider using
[] to access the last character of $path, reason being {} is deprecated as of PHP 6.
So

// old
$path{strlen($path)-1}
// new
$path[strlen($path)-1]
?>
