note 79995 added to function.file-exists

Dear programmers : i'm facing a problem while using file_exists() function , when i tried the function in my localhost ((AppServ)) it works , but when i had uploaded it to my website i was surprised that the same file which i requested it in my localhost is not found ! so what is the problem $file = iconv("UTF-8","Windows-1256",$_POST['ext']); i tried str_replace("\\","/",$file); i used iconv because i'm using ajax .
