I just had a problem where files generated using PHP couldn't be downloaded by Internet Explorer. I always got the message: "Internet Explorer cannot download [URL] from [HOST] Internet Explorer was unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." The message is ofcourse nonsense, and it worked just fine in Firefox. After browsing this page, I stumbled across someone who added this particular header: header("Pragma: hack"); This 'hack' made Internet Explorer eat my generated files just fine... Hope it helps! ---- Server IP: 83.137.20.135 Probable Submitter: 83.247.116.107 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.header.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/80331 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80331/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80331/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80331/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80331/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80331/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80331/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80331 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/80331 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
