You shouldn't ask questions here. Anyway, you problably used fwrite incorrectly. Like:
<?php
fwrite('filename.txt', 'text');
?>
You should first open it:
<?php
$file = fopen('filename.txt', 'w');
fwrite($file, 'text');
fclose($file);
?>
Now don't ever ask a question in a comment again.
