Is there any way to do a non-blocking connect / query? I am trying to avoid having my application
hang if/when mysql is having issues
What would be great is some sort of select() functionality.. If I could start a connect or a query
and then be notified when it is ready and or timeout
If anyone has any insight, please let me know
