I found some different behaviors between PHP 4 and PHP 5. I have tested this on just two versions: PHP Version 5.2.3-1ubuntu6.3 and PHP Version 4.3.10-22. Example 1: <?php $ts2 = strtotime("1st Thursday", $ts1) var_dump($ts2) // this works in PHP 4 // PHP 5 dumps bool(false) ?> Example 2: <?php $ts2 = strtotime("first Thursday", $ts1) var_dump($ts2) // this works in PHP 4 // also works in PHP 5 ?> ---- Server IP: 209.41.74.194 Probable Submitter: 70.108.35.121 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.strtotime.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/80795 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80795/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80795/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80795/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80795/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80795/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80795/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/80795 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/80795 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
