Ok, I am using wamp server and Code Igniter framework and SQL Server 2005. I had that annoying
'called to undefined function mssql_(...)" problem. That's how I have solved it:
1. I've downloaded ntwdblib.dll 2000.80.194.0 version and I've pasted it to php directory.
2. I've copied all those php_mssql.dll and ntwdblib.dll to:
2.1 windows/system 32
2.2 php directory
2.3 apache/bin
3. I've enebled 'extension=php_mssql.dll in':
3.1 php dir
3.2 apache/bin
4. I've enebled pipes in MSSQL, allowed all IPs in TCP/IP of mssql and started SQL Browser
5. In system/application/config/database.php I use these parameters:
$db['default']['hostname'] = "localhost";
$db['default']['username'] = "sa";
$db['default']['password'] = "password";
$db['default']['database'] = "the_name";
$db['default']['dbdriver'] = "mssql";
$db['default']['dbprefix'] = "";
$db['default']['active_r'] = TRUE;
$db['default']['pconnect'] = TRUE;
$db['default']['db_debug'] = TRUE;
$db['default']['cache_on'] = FALSE;
$db['default']['cachedir'] = "";
AND IT WORKS :D !
