The compression argument must be between 0 (no compression) and 9. so instead of saying imagepng($image,$file_location,100); you might try this instead: imagepng($image, $file_location, 0); So I don't think that adding all the additional parameters is quite necessary. I'm not quite certain, but this might actually be a glitch in GD2? There might even be a patch available.
