The ftp_connect() function seems to have a third, optional parameter: $timeout. I find it very
useful, since the default timeout of 90 seconds is very long and the average user won't wait
that long for a page to be loaded... Nevertheless I'm wondering if there's a reason, why
this parameter is not documented here. Eventually it's a deprecated feature from previous PHP
versions and might not be supported by future releases... If that is true, how can I alternatively
realize a connection timeout?
Greetings,
