But I have a problem when using the mssql_connect function. I've tried all the tips posted in this page, but I still can't connect to my MSSQL 2005 instance (placed in localhost). I've made this changes: update the ntwdblib.dll file with the latest version (200.80.194.0) copy the ntwdblib.dll and php_mssql.dll file into the apache2.2/bin directory copy the ntwdblib.dll into the c:/php directory copy the ntwdblib.dll into the C:/WINDOWS/system32 directory changed the authentication mode of sql server from windows authentication to mixed authentication enable named pipes and tcp/ip protocol in sql server My environment is configured as following: -Apache 2.2.6 -PHP 5.2.5 -Windows XP SP2 -SQL Server listens on 1433 (default) -Apache listens on 82 (localhost:82) I didn't have any problem with connecting to sql server 2000/2005 with the odbc_connect() function, but I've spent almost a week trying to connect with the mssql_connect function.
