Confirmed what 'richard dot blockley' stated above:
Using Win XP, Apache 2.2.8 and PHP 5.2.6.
Added:
LoadModule php5_module "c:\php5\php5apache2.dll"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
# configure the path to php.ini
PHPIniDir "C:\php5"
And Apache would not start: "Cannot load C:/php5/php5apache2.dll into server: The specified
module could not be found."
Changed the module to php5apache2_2.dll and it works.
