I've spent a couple of hours troubleshooting the migration of some scripts (note: i've
never written php code before) from Fedora Core 3 ( = php-4.3.9-3) to Centos 5.1 ( =
php-5.1.6-15.el5) just because at some point an alone 'echo;' was present, without
arguments, giving the error
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';' in </path/file.php> on line
<#number>
somehow this was working in version4 and produced a CR/LF, while version 5 really needs an argument
to echo...
ughhhh.....
