"The closing tag for the block will include the immediately trailing newline if one is
present."
Why?
I can imagine a few reasons, but none of them are important. This behavior is annoying, because the
developers are making an assumption about how one would like their output to look. If I put a line
feed immediately after a closing PHP tag, it is because I meant to.
Also, I understand that if it is absolutely imperative for me to have the line feed after a closing
PHP block, all I have to do is throw in a space, but I shouldn't have to.
Can anyone come up with a REALLY good idea for this behavior?
