While trying to save a large integer into a mysql database with a query construed with sprintf, it saved the maximal value of an integer (2147483647), even while the field in the mysql database is of datatype BIGINT (which allows way larger numbers). Also by using '%u' (for unsigned integer) I have the same issue. Worked around this by by-passing sprintf, but I was wondering whether this is a bug or just a mistake made by me (bear with me, it's late). ---- Server IP: 89.248.170.61 Probable Submitter: 87.210.160.209 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.sprintf.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/84408 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84408/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84408/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84408/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84408/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84408/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84408/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/84408 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/84408 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
