The comment about libxml unescaping the uri might be slightly wrong, because it mentions that
"Since PHP 5.1.0 you don't need to do this because PHP will do it for you." but with
PHP 5.2.3 I still have to call rawurlencode() if the filename contains characters that might be
unescaped by libxml.
