Please note that if you are using the following code to generate the number 8, due to an unresolved
bug it will now return 10 in the newer version of PHP:
echo 2*((int)substr(phpversion(),0,1)); // returns 8 in PHP4
echo 2*((int)substr(phpversion(),0,1)); // returns 10 in PHP5
