I made this with the XMLWriter class, the strings are in spanish because is my native language, just
change them and see how it works
<?php
class ManejadorXML{
function escribirXML(){
$writer = new XMLWriter();
$writer->openURI('socios.xml');
$writer->startDocument("1.0","utf-8");
$writer->startElement("Socio");
$writer->writeAttribute("numero","123123");
$writer->startElement("Baja");
$writer->writeAttribute("fecha","12/08/2008");
$writer->text("Se dio de baja porque fallecio");
$writer->endDocument();
$writer->flush();
}
}
?>
