FYI, the latest version (3) of the SDK has fixed the SSL conflict. Here's how to set
everything up, direct from Verisign Tech Support:
The (undocumented) trick to getting pfpro to work with Apache + mod_ssl + PHP is in the ./configure
for PHP -- you must configure pfpro support in PHP as a *shared* object, regardless of whether PHP
is added to Apache statically, or compiled afterwards as a DSO:
[root@localhost:/usr/src/php-4.0.5] # ./configure
--with-pfpro=shared,/path/to/pfpro --with-foo=bar ...
Additionally, /path/to/pfpro must contain pfpro.h (as included in our SDK), and the system must know
where to find libpfpro.so (as provided in our SDK). You can either add /path/to/libpfpro.so to
/etc/ld.so.conf and rerun ldconfig, or just stash it in the same directory as pfpro.h.
