Regarding documentation for date_default_timezone_set(), it took me a week to figure out (presumably
correctly) that within my php.ini file the value set for date.timezone should NOT be quoted.
This does NOT work:
date.timezone = 'America/Chicago'
This does work:
date.timezone = America/Chicago
