In --with-mysql=PATH, PATH is usually /usr or /usr/local (i.e., the directory used in --prefix
argument for the MySQL 'configure', default /usr/local).
Using --with-mysql=PATH, if Apache fails to load and gives an "undefined symbol:
uncompress" error, add --with-gzip to PHP's 'configure' arguments. For more
