For 5.1.x it's a bit trickier. The easiest thing to do is this:
cvs -d:pserver:cvsread@cvs.php.net:/repository co pecl/pfpro
run phpize in the pecl/pfpro directory
then run './configure' --with-pfpro=/usr/local/verisign/payflowpro/linux
(or wherever your payflow SDK is)
then move modules/pfpro.so to your extensions directory listed in your php.ini (I just made one
called /usr/local/phpextensions).
