Bug to know about: If you find backslashes inserted in strings that are submitted via post then the
PHP processor is automatically inserting them. The feature that does this is called magic quotes.
See Magic Quotes for instuctions on how to disable them. They will be going away in version 6 of
PHP. (It is arguable whether the bug is having Magic Quotes set on by default, or whether it is a
bug in the documentation for $_POST, which must include information on what the data format is. )
