Hi,
just starting with php and it seems already I've reverted back to html by mistake lol.
Anyway text editor of my choice has to be nano or gedit for gui editor.
Yes many editors exist so it's really a matter of what an individual feels comfortable with!
The advantage of using nano is that one can simply SSH the web server and change code on the fly no
need to transfer via ftp or sftp for the secure alternative. There is of course vi as editor but
it's a little wierd for my liking!
CLI editor is much easier otherwise you have to tunnel a remote X session through SSH then boot up
gedit which can be slow.
Of course for this to work you need to have SSH access to web server in the first place or if like
me you have your own servers it makes life easier :-)
