I think I found a typo:
function get_owner($file)
{
$stat = stat($file);
$user = posix_getpwuid($s['uid']);
return $user['name'];
}
should be
function get_owner($file)
{
$stat = stat($file);
$user = posix_getpwuid($stat['uid']);
return $user['name'];
}
[$stat replacing $s in the line beginning with $user]
