I' working on a custom feed reader and I'm getting the nbsp entity not defined error in
Facebook feeds. I have no control over their feed, so is there a way to handle the improperly formed
XML as I pull the feed to my custom php/mysql based RSS reader?
I'm getting the nbsp entity not defined error using a basic load function, but whoever wrote
facebook's RSS feeds didn't properly form them so I get nbsp, euro and copy 'Entity
Not Defined errors', (obviously they are using HTML's &...; in the feeds without the
entity definitions)
$doc = new DOMDocument();
$doc->load($url);
also getting xmlParseEntityRef: no name error, but I'll deal with that later...
Is there any way to handle this without having access to fix facebook's feed?
(i.e. use an option for load($url,'') function so it won't die when it tries to parse
facebooks crappy feeds.
I have twitter, blogs, cnn, espn, et al - all these work fine except for facebook's
notifications and status feeds. They are not properly formed XML...
