I totally agree on this, If I needed to write something to the database and I'm currently logged in with a user which has only read access, do I need to terminate my persistent connection just to switch users? This is a basic principle of security, only grant access for what you need, it prevents a whole lot of SQL injections. ---- Server IP: 89.248.170.61 Probable Submitter: 213.148.227.231 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-change-user.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/88224 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/88224/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/88224/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/88224/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/88224/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/88224/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/88224/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/88224 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/88224 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
