In the code below, the following line should be changed from
$fields = preg_replace("/^\"(.*)\"$/","$1",$fields); //added
to
$fields = preg_replace("/^\"(.*)\"$/s","$1",$fields); //added
Added the /s modifier so that strings like:
"
text"
will match.
