Which one to use when?
Currently I am working a project to save some images into a database, including the need to resize
images to different formats (for performance-reasons, they will be stored in the database in a
couple of sizes).
Now I am a bit overwhelmed by the options to choose from:
GD or Imagick?
It seems both over the required functionality.
Did some testing and now have a solution that works, but in my opinion its not a good solution, as I
need lots of disk/IO and a lot of memory to handle the images. This was realised using GD.
I will also try to write a solution using Imagick and see if this works better.
Any suggestions welcome.
