bitseeker's is_utf8() caused my debian etch to segfault (more precisely the problem was with
libpcre when using that function). I think it might be related to: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=41749 . It took me
some time to debug it, so i suggest use the other example, from hmdker at gmail dot com right for an
is_utf8() function.
