I ran into problem with Internet Explorer 7/8 maybe that older versions handle this the same way.
We drive a huge amount of websites on our framework, a few days ago we started a new project on a
short domain name like ab.cd
Once the cookie domain is served in the headers as ".ab.cd" IE7(fixed with Vista SP1)/IE8
will truncate this cookie because the domain has an odd length of chars. ab.cd -> (5)
One could mean that the "dot" at the beginning of .ab.cd should fix it, but it
doesn't.
Tooked me some time to figure out.
