Using:
I have two W2k3 machines up and networked in a lan.
One is running PHP 5.2.8, with IIS and MySQL.
2nd is running MsSQL 5.0 Enterprise.
I created php code to sync between the two, which works wonderfully from a browser and from a
command prompt.
I have gotten PHP to run successfully with this code:
<?PHP
echo "running script ";
$WshShell = new COM("WScript.Shell");
$oExec = $WshShell->Run('c:\php\php.exe c:\datasync.php', 0, false);
?>
It communicates beautifully with the MySQL installation that is local to that machine, but the
moment it tries to access the MsSQL on the other machine it fails to connect. I have verified that
it is attempting to login with the correct information through outputting error_log with the
variables, and have checked the MsSQL machine and its not even receiving a login request. Has
anyone else tried to do this or know of a reason why wshell would be blocking a TCP communication?
