even more confusing (to me), was this:
$foo = "green";
echo "the grass is $foo";
the grass is $foo
echo "the grass is '$foo'";
the grass is green
echo "the grass is'"$foo"'";
the grass is 'green'
i hope i did it right, cause it is still quite confusing me..
