You can use wordwrap to turn a string into an array of words:
<P>$input="the cow jumped over the moon";
$output=wordwrap($input, 1, "n");
$arr=explode("n", $output);
<P>$arr is now an array like:
$arr=array('the', 'cow', 'jumped', 'over', 'the',
'moon');
