Note Submitter: r_raj_d at yahoo dot com ---- Hi, This is i think will help all the developer who is using the Godaddy hosting. For Godaddy hosting the session.save_path = "c:/wamp/tmp" But when you will go to store any record, it will show you the warning "Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (c:/wamp/tmp) in Unknown on line 0" To overcome from this you have to follow 2 steps. 1. make a directory named "tmp" under your hosting account (or where you want to store the session data) 2. Please open the php.ini or php5.ini file inside your server. and find : session.save_path = "c:/wamp/tmp" Please replace the above line with the following session.save_path = "/home/content/x/y/z/xyzmerchant/html/tmp/" Where , xyzmerchant = your Godaddy hosting Account x = 1st character of your Godaddy hosting Account y = 2nd character of your Godaddy hosting Account z = 3rd character of your Godaddy hosting Account Now Question is how you can find the path i described. Its also a easy way. Please make a file as follows and name it : test.php <? include('any_file_name_that_not_exist.php'); ?> Upload the file to your server. And see.. you will get the absolute path in Godaddy hosting for your site. Its looks like similar to "/home/content/x/y/z/xyzmerchant/html/" Thats it. Enjoy.
