Contrary to documentation, realpath will not return FALSE if the path provided does not exist. In
fact, it doesn't seem to care at all if the path exists.
thisguy@jupiter tmp$ ls -a
. ..
thisguy@jupiter tmp$ php
<?php echo realpath('does/not/exist') ."\n";?>
/home/thisguy/tmp/does/not/exist
