note 89742 rejected from function.exec by danbrown

Note Submitter: khalidomer88 at yahoo dot com ---- i tried to execute some shell commands using this function, but it don't work. it seem like i need the root privileges to execute this commands. the commands work fine with the terminal. here is the command i want to execute openssl req -config openssl.my.cnf -new -nodes -keyout private/server.key -out server.csr -batch -days 365 when i try to do the following the command doesn't execute exec("openssl req -config openssl.my.cnf -new -nodes -keyout private/server.key -out server.csr -batch -days 365"); the command doesn't ask for argument (configuration modified). is the problem with the apache or the php. sorry iam new to php and linux
